DeepSeek releases V4.1 Flash model

DeepSeek launched its DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash model with native multimodal visual understanding and retired its V4 Flash models.

What changed

DeepSeek released DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash on its API. It has native multimodal visual understanding. Developers can call the new model using the deepseek-flash id. The previous V4 Flash and V4 Flash Vision Exp models are retired and temporarily route to V4.1 Flash. The company will continue providing API services for DeepSeek V4 Pro after September 14, 2026.

What it means for Zabio customers

Zabio does not offer DeepSeek models at this time. Developers cannot call DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash or DeepSeek V4 Pro through the Zabio API.

What Zabio does

Catalog change under review. Not in the Zabio catalog yet: deepseek-flash.
